Charity begins at home. Home is where the heart is. I learn how to bake and cook from a very young age, my mother was my teacher and inspiration. My mother always had something baking in her oven, she used fresh herbs, fruits, and veggies from her garden to cook and bake. My mother’s baking and cooking memories is my encouragement to create and be passionate about what I love the most, baking.
I attended the Culinary Institute of America back in the early ’90’s where I studied Pastry and Culinary Arts. Before graduation my Pastry Chef told me to stick with desserts it’s you “niche” this is what you were born to do.
After graduating I started working throughout New York City I started working for CBK Cookies and other restaurants, cafe’s, and bakeries. After working for Corporate America for 10 years as a manager, it was time for me to come back to my passion.
I completed classes with The Wilton School of Cake Decorating & Confectionery Art, to redefine my skills in baking. I took courses: basic cake decorating, flower and cake design, fondant, and gum paste.
My plan is to bake something sweet and tempting on a weekly basis, share my journeys and successes. I look forward for your knowledge and expertise as we explore together the world of baking. Questions are welcome, if you like to submit your favorite dessert drop me an email.
